Still Busy, Busy

Wow, it is hard to keep up on these blogs!
Time flies by!
Since I last wrote, we are going to be grandparents again to number 8.
Our eldest daughter, Beth is expecting number 4.
Yippeee!!!! Congratulations, daughter and son-in-law.

Dave has taken a Pastorate on a 6 month trial.
So we will be traveling up to a little town out of Sandpoint
every Sunday, and possibly Wednesdays.

My Dad is doing pretty well, but in a lot of pain. He has beat
the odds and made it past the 3 month mark. In fact since
diagnoised in April with Multiple Myeloma Cancer, he has made
it six months. Of course we know God is in Control and continues
to give Dad many days.

We are enjoying our new home and soon I will get pics up.

Until next time.

Busy, Busy

A lot has happened since I last posted.
We had our little country Fair the end of August. I had entered 62 items in crocheting and scrapbooking/greeting cards. Half of the items placed and my prize money was $100.00, not bad!
We also moved the end of August. We are buying a home in a manufactured home park. It puts us 2 doors down from Dave's folks and around the corner from mine. Perfect!
I am still watching LuLu 40 hours a week and teaching piano. I have 8 students now.
Today was our third recital. The students did a marvelous job, I am very proud of them!
If I can figure out how to put the tape on my blog I may try it. Check out the blog at:
chordsandmore.blogspot.com
Our fifth granddaughter had her 2nd birthday party today in Post Falls. Happy Birthday little Sahalie.
That's about it for now.

Time sure flies these days!
Mom H. celebrated her Birthday on July 1st. I took her to get some plants at the Nursery in Rathdrum. We had never been there, nice place, beautiful flowers and plants. Thanks to Shannon for telling Mom about it. The she and I went out to lunch at Applebee's. It was very nice. We had a great time.
Eric and Beth celebrated their 10th Anniversary, way to go kids!
We had a BIG family get together on the 4th at our niece Shannon's. It's always great to see everyone.
Beth is coming out today for a couple days. I always look forward to her visits.
Dad H. is having a hip replacement tomorrow, our prayers go with him.
I will be adding a new piano student next Monday. I've decided to do a blog for piano. That way students and potential ones can go to the site. It's easier than a web page.
That's about it for now. I hope to have new pics up soon, I am waiting on Dave.

I have been so bad at keeping up my blog. Between, facebook, blogging, my Dad's care page and finishing my Fair entries I guess I've been busy.

I had a week off from babysitting LuLu this month. She went with her mommie to Oregon.
We went and visited both our Father's on Father's Day. This was nice.

Our Dad's have had a lot of doctor appointments. Dave's Dad will have a hip replacement on July 7th.

The weather has not been very summer like.

That's about it.

Today is my Birthday! 54 years young! I am so Thankful the Lord has given me this many and I pray He will give me several more.
Since it was Dave's day off yesterday he took me out for breakfast to celebrate. It was nice!
I got a birthday call from my Sis, my Mom, my mother-in-law with a happy birthday in the background from my sister-in-law, facebook birthday from Beth, birthday call from Missy and one from Dave at work. I have a wonderful family!

Today is Sammie's surgery. The kids spent the night at the Ronald McDonald house in Spokane.
They had to be at the hospital at 6:45am. Dave, Chris and I arrived at the Peds Surgical Center at 8:20 am, Sammie hadn't been taken in yet. So we played for a bit then they started getting her ready at 9:15 am. The surgery takes 2 1/2 hours. We had to leave so Dave and Chris could go to work, it is now 1:20 pm and we haven't heard anything yet.
We pray that all went well.

Here are a few pics of Dad and family at the hospital.
Dad came home late Friday evening. They have had lots of visitors everyday.
At times this is very tiring for Dad because he feels he needs to talk and it takes a lot out of him.
He is expending so much energy on controlling the pain.
We would like to find an over the bed table for eating at. Again I could rent one for them for 20.00 a month, but it would be better to purchase one instead.
Mom is getting very tired. Dad has done many things over the last five years for Mom (dishes, vaccuming, etc) now she has to do them. She was even talking about mowing their yard.
I again encouraged her to get help. I know Home Health is available, but no one does it like Mom you know. I leave you with a verse from my devotions yesterday: Deuteronomy 30:20
"That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey His voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto Him: for He is thy life, and the length of thy days..."

My Mom, neice Sarah and

Vickie her Mom, my sister.
